East London Chorus is currently taking a short summer break, following our 2009-10 season. We ended the season with a most enjoyable and musically uplifting tour of Devon and Cornwall, where we sang at St Brevita’s Church in Lanlivery, Exeter Cathedral Chapter House, Buckfast Abbey and Truro Cathedral. (Visit the photo gallery for pictures of our tour.)

We start rehearsing again on the first Tuesday in September, preparing for our ‘West End Showstoppers’ concert in October. Our December concert ‘Salve Regina’ is of sacred music for Advent (including works by Bruckner, Byrd and Britten). In March, our ‘Stabat Mater’ concert includes works by Arvo Pärt and Pergolesi. In July we join with Harlow Chorus for a performance of Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius at Chelmsford Cathedral. (More details on out Forthcoming concerts page.)
